Black body and black linen shade: this is Alvik at its most graphic. Because a black shade holds the light in at the sides, the glow spills out the top and bottom, making a focused, dramatic pool of light.
Where we'd use it: on a hall console against a white wall, beside the bed in a dark-walled bedroom, or on a desk where you want light on the work surface and nothing more. It suits modern, minimalist rooms.
Pair it with: white oak, cream boucle, brass or chrome, and black-framed art.
