Charcoal against ivory gives this antique runner crisp contrast while keeping the palette neutral, with beige and taupe in between. It's hand-knotted in the U.S.A. from wool with the Turkish knot, has an ornamental traditional pattern and fringe, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a modern farmhouse hall with black doors and hardware, or the long hallway of a newer home with grey floors. At 3'6" wide and 14'1" long it's a substantial rug.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
