Long, narrow and very flat, this antique runner is one of a kind: hand-knotted in Turkey in beige, sandstone and taupe with an ornamental traditional pattern. It can run the full length of a long hallway without a break.
Where we'd use it: a centre hall in an older home, an upstairs landing or the long side of a kitchen island. The low pile is easy underfoot, and the neutral colours won't fight with wood floors or painted trim.
Pair it with: white or cream walls, black-framed art along the hall, and a narrow console in a mid-tone wood.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
