Details
Almost five feet wide and nearly fourteen long, this antique rug sits somewhere between a runner and a room rug, which makes it useful in awkward spaces. It's one of a kind, hand-knotted in Turkey in soft beige, sand, ivory, taupe and cream, with fringed ends.
Where we'd use it: a long, narrow living room where a standard rug leaves too much bare floor, under a harvest-style dining table, or down the length of a wide entry hall. The pale palette keeps a narrow space feeling open.
Pair it with: a slipcovered linen sofa, a long farmhouse table in pale wood and a few woven baskets.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
