Details
Terracotta and burnt orange against sapphire and midnight blue: this antique has the rich contrast of warm and cool in one rug. The shape is long and fairly wide at 6'2" x 13'11", and it's hand-knotted in Turkey from wool, fringed, and one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a long, narrow dining room under a harvest table, a wide entry hall, or down the middle of a galley-style living room. It fills spaces a standard room-size rug can't.
Pair it with: sapphire or navy velvet chairs, olive plants in terracotta pots, and dark wood.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
