Jute isn't what most people expect from an antique rug, which is part of the appeal of this one. It's hand-knotted in Turkey in ivory, cream and beige with an ornamental traditional pattern and a low pile, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a sunroom, a cottage living room or a bedroom with a lot of natural wood. At 6' x 8'8" it fits in front of a sofa or at the foot of a bed. Jute is happiest in dry, lower-traffic spots.
Pair it with: white slipcovers, rattan, linen curtains and pale driftwood tones.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
