Quiet and soft underfoot, this antique rug is hand-woven in Turkey in ivory, beige and taupe, with a half-inch wool-and-cotton pile that's thicker than many older rugs. The pattern is subtle and the ends are fringed. Just one exists.
Where we'd use it: a bedroom where bare feet land in the morning, or a living room with light walls where you want warmth without adding colour. At 6'8" x 9'7" it holds a sofa and a coffee table with room around them.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
