Details
Its wool pile is fuller than you'd expect on an older rug, so this updated traditional antique is comfortable to sit on. The colours are burnt sienna and terracotta with sage green, charcoal and ivory. It was hand-knotted in Turkey with Turkish knots, and there's only one of it.
Where we'd use it: a TV room with a deep sofa, or a bedroom where a cosy step out of bed matters. At 7'3" x 10' it's a good all-round living room size.
Pair it with: sage or charcoal upholstery, terracotta cushions and walnut.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
