Almost all pale, this antique rug moves through ivory, ecru, sand, beige and light taupe with only the gentlest shifts between them. It was hand-knotted in Turkey, it's worn low and soft, and it's the only one there is.
Where we'd use it: a bright living room with white walls, where a dark rug would feel heavy. At 7'8" x 11' it's a little longer than a standard 8' x 10', which suits a sofa facing a pair of chairs with a coffee table between.
Pair it with: a camel leather chair, washed linen slipcovers and a few pieces of black iron for contrast.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
