Pewter and burnt sienna are an unusual pairing, cool grey against warm rust-brown, and this antique makes it work with sandstone and ivory in between. Hand-knotted in Turkey, with a low pile and fringe, it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a living room with grey walls that needs warming up, or a family room with a charcoal sofa. It's generous at 8'6" x 11'3", enough to get the front legs of every chair onto it.
Pair it with: a charcoal or slate sofa, rust linen pillows and a wood-and-iron coffee table.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
