Taupe, sage, slate and ivory: nothing here shouts, so this antique fits rooms that already have plenty going on. It's all wool, hand-knotted in Turkey, with a low pile and an ornamental traditional pattern, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: an open living and dining space with patterned drapes or a busy art wall. At 7'5" x 10'10" it runs a little long, which suits a sofa with a chair at each end.
Pair it with: slate or sage upholstery, stone-coloured walls and black-framed prints.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
