At 10'5" x 13', this antique covers most of a large room in beige, sandstone, taupe, ivory and sepia. It was hand-knotted in Turkey in wool and cotton, the pile is worn very close, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a large living room with two sofas facing each other, or a big primary suite with a sitting area. The neutral colours keep a rug this size from overwhelming the room.
Pair it with: ivory and oatmeal upholstery, plaster-toned walls and dark iron.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
