Details
A long, narrow antique runner in goldenrod, sandstone, ivory and chestnut, honeyed colours that glow on wood floors. It's hand-knotted in Turkey with Persian knots in wool and cotton, low underfoot, fringed, and one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a long upstairs hallway, a back entry leading to the kitchen, or down the side of a bed in a narrow room. At 3'8" x 12'11" it covers a lot of floor, so measure your hall and leave some wood showing at each end.
Pair it with: cream walls, chestnut or walnut furniture, and brass hooks or sconces along the way.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
