Light and sunny, with ivory and sandstone broken up by sky blue and goldenrod. Hand-knotted in Turkey in wool and cotton, this antique has a low pile and fringe, and it's the only one we'll have.
Where we'd use it: a coastal-feeling living room, a sunroom or a guest bedroom. At 8'2" x 11'6" it fits a mid-size room nicely, and the light colours help a smaller space feel open.
Pair it with: white slipcovers, sky-blue and yellow cushions, and bleached or pale wood.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
