Updated traditional in style, this antique runner pairs burnt sienna and terracotta with olive, sandstone and ivory. It's hand-knotted in Turkey from wool, has a close pile and is the only one there is.
Where we'd use it: a modern hall with flat-panel doors and simple trim, where a traditional rug keeps the house from feeling cold. Its 14'3" length suits a long corridor in a newer home.
Pair it with: matte black hardware, white oak floors and a terracotta pot with a tall olive tree.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
