Ecru is the base here, a slightly warmer, earthier cousin of ivory, layered with sandstone and taupe. The runner is hand-woven in Turkey from wool, patterned and fringed, an antique of which there's only one.
Where we'd use it: a Scandinavian or minimal home where you want texture more than colour, along a hall or in front of a long built-in bench. At 3'6" it's wide enough for a spacious entry.
Pair it with: pale ash or birch, white plaster walls and a few pieces of black iron.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
