Details
Orange from base to shade, this Alvik is a short Art Deco-style ceramic lamp that puts one bold colour into a room. At 18 inches tall with a 15-inch empire shade, it's squat and chunky rather than tall.
Where we'd use it: on a white desk, a playroom shelf or a mid-century credenza. One bright lamp in a neutral room gives the eye somewhere to land.
Pair it with: teak, cream walls, navy pillows and a black-and-white graphic rug.
