Belden is a tall brass chandelier, 46 inches from top to bottom, with nine lights pointing up and no shades to hide the frame. The open iron structure has an Arts & Crafts character that reads well against a pale ceiling.
Where we'd use it: a two-storey foyer or a great room with a vaulted ceiling, where its height fills the vertical space. It hangs on a chain, so it also looks right in a traditional dining room with generous ceiling height.
Pair it with: warm white walls, walnut or mahogany furniture and a traditional wool rug in muted reds.
