Loose white strokes over black pigment suggest a face more than they spell one out. This second study has a rougher, more confident hand than most portraits, and the aged paper around it warms up the black-and-white contrast.

Details
Loose white strokes over black pigment suggest a face more than they spell one out. This second study has a rougher, more confident hand than most portraits, and the aged paper around it warms up the black-and-white contrast.
Where we'd use it: a powder room with dark walls, a home office where you want something with an edge, or a hallway gallery wall. Square pieces are easy to group: try it in a row of three with other black-and-white work, small or large depending on the wall.
Pair it with: taupe or mushroom walls, matte black hardware, travertine and a nubby cream throw.
- Finish: glass framed
- Sizes: small or large
- Orientation: square
- Made in: Burlington, Ontario, made to order
Care: Dust the frame and wipe the glass with a soft cloth. Keep it out of direct sun.
