A black ceramic body under a wide 18-inch white linen shade gives Kogel a strong, graphic outline. It's traditional with a coastal ease, and the rotary switch sits right under the shade.
Where we'd use it: on a living-room end table beside a white or sand sofa, or on a dresser in a primary bedroom. The shade directs light downward, so it's good for pooling light onto a table surface.
Pair it with: white slipcovers, a striped or natural-fibre rug, driftwood tones and navy pillows.
