Details
Hand-dyed French linen is torn, stitched and layered into panels of deep umber, rust and bone, with the frayed edges and seams left exposed. It's abstract art you almost want to touch, and the warm brown tones make a room feel settled rather than busy.
Where we'd use it: in the large size over a leather sofa or a wood console in a family room. The small one fits a powder room or the space beside a doorway. It hangs well next to its companion, Torn Linen Strata, if you want a matched pair.
Pair it with: cognac leather, rust or terracotta pillows, a chunky wool throw and dark stained wood.
- Finishes: framed canvas, gallery wrap canvas, glass framed
- Sizes: large or small
- Orientation: vertical
- Made in: Burlington, Ontario, made to order
Care: Dust gently with a dry cloth. Avoid direct sun so the colours stay true.

Made by hand in Ontario, just for you. Allow 3–4 weeks for it to be made, then a few business days for delivery. Shipping is calculated by size at checkout, from $29 in Ontario and $39 elsewhere in Canada; this piece's shipping size and rates are shown above. Small and Medium pieces ship free on orders of $1,000 or more. Art-only orders can be picked up free in Burlington.

Care
Hang out of direct sunlight and away from bathrooms and other damp rooms. Dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth. To clean glazing, spray a little glass cleaner onto the cloth, never onto the piece.
