Details
Strips of linen in umber, chocolate and bone are stacked one above another like layers of rock in a cliff face. The torn borders and open weave give it real depth, and the colour, from hand-dyed French linen, is rich without being dark.
Where we'd use it: an entry where you want something warm to greet you, or a study with bookshelves and a desk lamp. Because it's vertical, the large size can fill the gap between two windows; the small size works on a bookcase end or above a bench.
Pair it with: chocolate velvet, cream plaster-look walls, black metal and an ivory wool rug.
- Finishes: framed canvas, gallery wrap canvas, glass framed
- Sizes: large or small
- Orientation: vertical
- Made in: Burlington, Ontario, made to order
Care: A soft dry cloth for the frame and glass or canvas. Hang it away from direct sun and humidity.

Delivery & returns
Delivery
Outside Canada and the US we deliver by quote. Add this piece to your cart and send the cart from the cart page: we email a sales order with shipping, duties and taxes, and nothing is charged until you approve and pay it.
Made by hand in Ontario, just for you. Allow 3–4 weeks for it to be made, then a few business days for delivery. Shipping is calculated by size at checkout, from $29 in Ontario and $39 elsewhere in Canada; this piece's shipping size and rates are shown above. Small and Medium pieces ship free on orders of $1,000 or more. Art-only orders can be picked up free in Burlington.
Returns
Final sale, because each piece is made to order. Damaged, defective or wrong? We'll replace it or refund it in full, including shipping: tell us within 3 business days of delivery, with photos of the piece and the packaging.
Care
Hang out of direct sunlight and away from bathrooms and other damp rooms. Dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth. To clean glazing, spray a little glass cleaner onto the cloth, never onto the piece.
