A stylist's rule of thumb: go bigger than you think. A rug that's too small makes a room feel smaller.
Living room
Front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug. 8x10 suits most living rooms; 6x9 a small one; 9x12 an open plan.
Bedroom
Under the bottom two-thirds of the bed, with 18–24″ showing each side. 8x10 for a queen, 9x12 for a king.
Dining room
At least 24″ beyond the table on every side, so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. 8x10 for four to six chairs, 9x12 for six to eight.
Hall & entry
Leave 4–6″ of floor showing on each side, and a little more at each end. Most halls take a 2′6″ to 3′ wide runner.

This Aleyna has the most viscose in the family, 75 percent, so its light grey, denim and pale blue have a noticeable shine. The ornamental pattern is traditional, updated with a cool, soft palette.
Where we'd use it: a guest bedroom, a formal dining room that comes out for holidays, or a sitting room off the main traffic path. We'd keep it clear of spills, since viscose marks easily with water.
Pair it with: white painted furniture, blue and white china, chrome and soft grey drapes.

Returns
All sales are final, so please check sizes, colours and details before you order. Damaged, defective or wrong? We'll replace it or refund it in full, including shipping: tell us within 5 business days of delivery, with photos of the item and the packaging.
Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
