Charcoal gives definition to an ivory, sandstone and taupe field, while sky blue and olive add colour without much fuss. This large antique rug was hand-knotted in Turkey using the Persian knot in wool and cotton, with a low pile, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: an open-concept main floor where the rug has to define the living area, or a large bedroom. At 8'8" x 11'3" it holds a sectional or a king bed with space around it.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
