Details
Crimson, sapphire and navy make a rich, classic combination, and rust and olive keep it from feeling stiff. This antique was hand-knotted in Turkey in half wool, half cotton, the pile is worn nearly flat, and it's the only one of its kind.
Where we'd use it: a library, a study with dark paint, or a traditional dining room with a big table. At 9'8" x 12'2" it's large enough to keep every chair on the rug when it's pulled out.
Pair it with: navy or oxblood walls, leather club chairs, and brass picture lights or lamps.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
