Details
Wider than most at 10'5" x 12'8", this crimson and navy rug fills a big room properly. Sapphire, terracotta and sandstone round out the colours, and it's hand-knotted in Turkey from pure wool with a low pile. We have only one, and there won't be another like it.
Where we'd use it: a great room or a large open-plan living space, with the sofa, chairs and side tables all sitting on it. It also works under a long dining table in a room with high ceilings, where a smaller rug would look like it's floating.
Pair it with: cream or camel upholstery, dark stained wood, and navy or crimson accents pulled from the rug.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
