Rosewood leads on this antique, with sage, sandstone and ivory around it. The pile is very thin, which lets the knotting show and gives the rug a soft, aged look. It was hand-knotted in Turkey from wool, and it's one of a kind.
Where we'd use it: a dining room where chairs slide in and out often, since a thin pile doesn't catch, or a living room with warm white walls. At 9'7" x 12'7" it's fully room-size.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
