Details
Teal cuts through the rust on this antique and makes it feel fresher than most warm-toned rugs, while sandstone, ivory and sage fill it out. It's hand-knotted in Turkey from wool with a flat, thin pile and fringe, and it's the only one of its kind.
Where we'd use it: a dining room with a wood table and upholstered chairs, or a reading room with built-in shelves. At 8' x 11'7" it suits a medium-size room, and the flat pile keeps chair legs from catching.
Pair it with: teal or peacock velvet, cognac leather, and brass.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
