Details
Very flat underfoot, this antique runner is hand-knotted in Turkey from all wool with a pile that's barely there. It's one of a kind, in beige, sandstone, ivory and taupe, with touches of sky blue through the ornamental traditional pattern.
Where we'd use it: a hall where a door has to open across it, or a busy back entrance where a thicker rug would catch toes. At 13'6" it reaches from the door well into the house.
Pair it with: pale blue or duck-egg walls, crisp white trim and a woven basket for shoes.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
