This antique rug has a thick, half-inch wool pile, which is unusual in an older piece and makes it soft underfoot. Crimson, rosewood and dusty rose lead, with sage and antique gold. It was hand-knotted in Turkey, updated traditional in style, and it's the only one.
Where we'd use it: a bedroom, a formal living room or a reading room where comfort underfoot matters. At 7' x 11'3" it's long, so it suits a room with a sofa along one long wall and chairs opposite.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
