Details
A thin, flat antique in terracotta and ivory with sky blue, sand and pale gold. It's hand-knotted in Turkey in an even blend of wool and cotton with Persian knots, and it has fringed ends. This rug is the only one we have.
Where we'd use it: a kitchen eating area or a dining room, where chairs slide easily over the low pile, or a sunny living room with light floors. At 8'8" x 11'10" it's close to a standard room size.
Pair it with: rattan dining chairs, pale gold or brass lighting, and cream linen.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar on wool and hand-knotted rugs. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth; don't rub. Turn the rug every six months so it wears and fades evenly, and use a rug pad underneath. For deep cleaning, use a professional rug cleaner.
